The action was intense on the Campbell River estuary Saturday during the Race the River Dragon Boat Festival

The second annual Race the River dragon boat regatta went off without a hitch on Saturday in the Campbell River estuary.

The North Island’s Tri-Port Warriors took the title in the women’s division with a final race time of 1:49.5. Second place went to Campbell River’s River Spirit with a final time of 1:53.4 and third place went to Blazing Paddles with a final time of 1:55.7. In the mixed teams, first place went to Dragonflies with a time of 1:46.4; second went to Prevailing Wins with a time of 1:47; and third place went to Namax’sala  with a time of 1:47.6.
