The second round of drifting took place Saturday at Saratoga Speedway, with first round winner #26 Alex Davidson once again dominating the field.

Anderson faced #4 Andrew Otteson in the final – a rematch of the round one final – and again emerged victorious. Black Creek’s #2 Dustin Taylor finished third.

In drag racing action, local Dylan Tibbits steered his 300-horsepower Honda Civic to victory lane. Tibbits battled #17 Aaron Craig’s Acura Integra in the finals, with Tibbits getting the edge off the start and leading the rest of the way.

Davidson is the clear favourite to win round three of drifting this weekend at Saratoga. A full field of drag racers, including some tuned-up diesel trucks, will accompany the drifting, which runs rain or shine.

The June 7 weekend marks the return of the Car Tossing Competition. Last year’s winner threw his truck 57 feet, just barely beating his competitor by three feet. Also running (rain or shine) will be the Hornets, Crash to Pass cars, Figure 8s, Roadrunners, Bombers and I.M.C.A Modifieds.
