Drop-in community recreational programs in full swing

The Grand Forks Border Bruins have completed one month of connecting  and team building. The stats have proven over the month the team has jelled and are ready for a great prosperous hockey season. The next home game will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 as they take on the Fernie Rockets at the Jack Goddard Memorial Arena.

Drop in community recreational programs are held throughout the week in the local school gyms.

Ultimate Frisbee is held on Monday evenings from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at the Grand Forks Secondary School gym and on again Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. at the Hutton School gym. Everyone is welcome to participate in this fun family activity. For more information, please contact Grant at 250-442-4285.

Drop-in community volleyball is held on Tuesday evenings from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Grand Forks Secondary. Everyone is welcome to come out and take part in this recreational Volleyball session. For more information on the drop-in volleyball program, please contact 442-2220.

Drop-in community badminton is held on Thursday evenings from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Grand Forks Secondary. New players are always welcome to join. Please contact Suzan at 442- 5157 for more information.

Community drop-in soccer is still held outdoors but due to the shorter days will be moving indoors the week of Oct. 12.

Indoor soccer will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Hutton School gym and again on Wednesday evenings from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at the high school gym. This is a fun recreational program which is open to the public.
