Williams Lake’s Daine Dubois scored four times to help the Prince George-based Cariboo Cougars hit double digits for the second weekend in a row in an 11-1 win over the North Island Silvertips in BC Major Midget League action in Nanaimo.
The Cougars, who continue to lead the BCMML with a 21-2-1-0 record, have won four straight by a combined score of 36-3.
Dubois picked up an assist for a five-point outing, while blowing the game wide open with a natural hat trick to help put his team up 8-0 after 40 minutes.
His fourth pushed the Cougars into double digits.
The day prior the Cougars downed the Silvertips 8-1.
Dubois, along with fellow Williams Lake teammate Trey Thomas, don’t return to BCMML action until after the holidays when they travel to Langley for games against the Valley West Hawks on Jan. 7-8.
Before that it’s a trip to Calgary for the prestigious Mac’s AAA Hockey Tournament.
The Cougars open the tournament on Boxing Day against the Calgary Northstars.
They will face Saskatchewan’s Notre Dame Hounds, the New York Jr. Islanders and Edmonton’s South Side Athletic Club BP Athletics in the round robin.
