Dunigan has busy week in Comox Valley

Speaking engagements, book signing, mini-camp, fishing, golf all on the agenda

CFL HALL OF Famer Matt Dunigan was in the Comox Valley this week, participating in a number of events. After flying in to Campbell River on Saturday, he and wife Kathy stayed at the Knight Inlet Lodge, where a fishing trip was on the agenda. On Monday, the Dunigans checked into Crown Isle Resort and Golf Club. On Tuesday, Dunigan golfed with Crown Isle's Jason Andrew and junior golfers Logan Yanick and Mark Valliere. That was followed by a book signing at Laughing Oyster (below) and a camp for quarterbacks and receivers at G.P. Vanier (right). On Wednesday Dunigan spoke to high school students in the morning, relaxed at Kingfisher Resort in the afternoon then was guest speaker at the Vanier athletic banquet where he encouraged the student-athletes to follow their dreams. The Dunigans left the Valley Thursday morning en route to an engagement in Grande Prairie. Their visit was made possible by the efforts of Vanier Athletics, Comox Valley Raiders Youth Football and the support of several local businesses.
