A little dirt was no problem for the cowboys and cowgirls at the 67th Annual Bridge Lake Stampede.
Good summer heat made for dry rodeo grounds, which resulted in some crazy and dusty rodeo action.
There were 73 competitors for the open events, along with 16 juniors and three peewees.
Jonah Antoine of Cache Creek was quick with the rope as he and his brother Travis Antoine took first place in Team Roping. Jonah also took second place in Tie Down Roping.
The rodeo garnered a large crowd as nearly every seat was full.
The bulls proved to be quite the handful for riders as not one of the 17 competitors was able to last the necessary eight seconds.
Some excitement also happened outside the rodeo grounds as a bull named Chata Hoochie jumped the fence and made a break for it down Highway 24.
Archie Williams, B.J. Isnardy, and Nick Textereia chased the bull for four kilometers before roping it and bringing it back on a horse trailer.
