The Eaglecrest Ladies Club had a beautiful fall day for the closing game of their season, which was followed by a luncheon and the presentation of trophies by the club captain, Dale Marshall.
The year’s Club Championship was won by Kathy Hiebert. Jacque Bater took home the low net trophy. The two match play tournaments, the Croquet Cup and the Aggie Cup, were won respectively by Lillian Houg and Liz Gillies, while Gillies also took the Lorraine Riva Memorial Trophy, an eclectic tournament played over two rounds, where only the better score on each hole counts.
In the final trophy contest of the season, for players over or under a certain specified age, which doesn’t need to be released, Lillian Houg took the Anne Sharpe Trophy and Sandra Braithwaite won the Marl Cup. The most improved player award went to Barb Perry, and club members were happy to celebrate a hole-in-one by Jean Temple — the second in Temple’s long golf career.
