The Sicamous Eagles have earned their first hat-trick of the season, winning three games in a row.

Kicking off the winning streak was a mid-week (Nov. 30) 5-4 home-game victory versus the Chase Heat.

On Friday, the Eagles served guests the Princeton Posse a 3-1 loss for the trip home.

Kyle Riley scored the first and only goal of the first frame off Ryan Ignace and Alex Hartman. After a scoreless second, the third period saw Collens score an unassisted, shorthanded marker at 16.57. The Posse added a single at 5:40. The Eagles responded with an empty-net goal delivered by Flinton off Woodley.

Collens was named the game’s first star.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Heat hosted the Eagles for a rematch and wound up on the losing end of a 4-3 tally.

While the Heat had more shots on net in the first period, the Eagles were actually putting the biscuit in the basket with goals by Dumas, off Matthias Urbanski and Austin Miller, and Woodley, off Riley and Flinton.

A scoreless second frame was followed by an intense third, with three Chase goals wrapped around a pair from Flinton and Alex Astasiewicz, with assists going to Kade Holodniuk, Urbanski and Woodley.

Flinton was named the game’s second star.

The Eagles are back on home ice Friday, Dec. 9, to face off against the Osoyoos Coyotes. Game time is 7 p.m. On Sunday, the Eagles have another home-ice brawl against the Kamloops Storm, game time is 4:15 p.m.
