The Okanagan Rockets’ eight-game winning streak will be put to the test this coming weekend against the defending BCMML champs.

The Rockets will head to Delta for games Saturday and Sunday against the Valley West Hawks.

The Rockets will play their next six games on the road.

Okanagan (9-1-0) leads the Hawks (7-2-1-2) by one point for second in the MML.

The Rockets are coming off their fourth consecutive sweep after taking a pair of games from the North Island Silvertips over the weekend at CNC.

On Saturday, Coleton Bilodeau scored twice in a 5-3 win, as the Rockets outshot the ‘Tips 45-20. Seth Barton, Jordan Robinson and Mitchell Gove added singles, while Nik Bregeda earned his third win of the season.

On Sunday, it was even more one-sided on the shot clock in another 5-3 win.

Chase Stevenson, Rayman Bassi, Max Kryski, Wyatt Head and Brandon Della Paolera scored the goals, while Owen Partrick pushed his record to 6-0 with the win in net.

Okanagan outshot North Island 57-20.

The Rockets’ next home action is Saturday, Nov. 26 against the Thompson Blazers.
