Georgia Ellenwood, who won four gold medals at last month's B.C. high school track and field provincial championships, finished 12th at the world junior championships in France in the heptathlon. Ellenwood also set a new Canadian age-group record in the event.

At the world youth track and field championships in France, Georgia Ellenwood set a new Canadian youth record in the heptathlon with 4,952 points.

She finished 12th in the event.

The heptathlon is made up of hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, javelin, 200m and 800m.
