Noah Elliott is headed to the B.C. Summer Games and will be looking to finish on the podium in both the discus and javelin throw events.
Elliott, 15 from Coombs, is a member of the Oceanside Track and Field Club. Just finishing up his Grade 10 year at Ballenas Secondary School, Elliott is looking forward to taking part in the Summer Games close to home.
“It’s going to be fun,” Elliott said. “I’ll have lots of family and friends out to watch so hopefully I can perform well for them all.”
Elliott will be looking to improve on his personal best scores at the B.C. Summer Games and has been ranked near the top three all year in his two disciplines.
Elliott has a throw of 39.41 meters in the discus and 37.47 meters in the javelin.
“Discus is my stronger of the two events but I’m looking to finish well in both,” Elliott said.
“I’ve been training three days a week with the Oceanside Track and Field Club with coach Cathy and I’ve been up in Comox throwing the javelin, so I’ll be ready to go.
