Dylan Emmons went the distance, striking out 10 as the Vernon Canadians stopped the Kamloops RiverDogs 6-0 in B.C. Midget AAA Baseball League action Saturday at Canada Games Park.
Emmons scattered five hits over seven innings in his third complete game of the year.
Cory Anderson returned from the disabled list and went 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Canadians snapped a five-game losing streak.
Kadyn Thomas was 2-for-4 with two ribbies, while Tyler Wellman smacked a two-run singles.
In Game 2, the RiverDogs grounded the Canadians 7-0.
Wellman pitched three innings, allowing six runs – only one was earned – with four strikeouts.Nathan Nesbitt mopped up, allowing one run and fanning four. Kamloops is 7-2.
Noah Foufoulas and Ethan Huizinga each went 2-for-3.
The C’s (3-11) host the Aldergrove Dodgers for a pair Saturday (1 and 4 p.m., Marshall Field) and entertain the Tri Cities Indians for a twinbull Sunday (1 and 4 p.m.). Both the Dodgers and Indians are 6-8.
