Six members of Errington Tae Kwon Do School are back home and feeling great about their game as they ran the table and combined for 12 medals on the national stage.

In action on the matts in Vancouver Jan 9-13 as part the 2013 National Taekwondo Championships, Kabrin Ware led the charge for ETS’ team of 9 to 12 year olds, mining double gold with first place finishes in both sparring and poomse. Amelia Kellow and Aslan Doan both garnered gold in sparring and silver in poomse; Farleigh Pickering earned double silver; Niki Bolger bagged herself a silver in sparring and bronze in poomse, and Oscar Sargent earned bronze in sparring and silver in poomse.

Watching over the kids were coaches Jody and Revelina Lukashuk.

“The kids trained hard and fought hard for their medals,” a proud Revelina said after it was over. “They brought all what they learned and stepped up to the plate, but most of all everyone had fun, including all of the family that came and supported the kids.”

Taking her team to the national championships for the first time said Revelina “was definitely a learning experience.”
