The Houston Bantams travelled to Kitimat shortly before the new year, taking place in an eight team tournament. The Bantams went undefeated in their pool, with scores of 7-1, 4-3, and 4-1, putting them against the Kitimat team for the final. With less than a minute left in the gold medal match, Kitimat scored a goal, winning the game, and the tournament, 3-2. The teams, organizers say, were very evenly matched, but was a great showing by the Bantams, especially considering they brought four PeeWee players to complete their roster.
