Everett, Taylor tops at Comox Thursday Night Ladies golf

Everett wins low gross, Taylor takes low net at 18-hole wind-up tournament

 

 

 

On Thursday, Sept. 13, Karen Vanetta had the low gross score (42) at Comox Ladies golf, followed by Louise Luster and Linda Callender (43). Low net was Vicki Edwards (31), followed by Deb McLean (33).

Long drives: Joan Baudais, Louise Luster; KPs: Louise Luster, Suzy Venuta, Joan Baudais; longest putt: Brenda Good; fewest putts: Yvonne Higgs (14).

On Saturday, Sept. 15, the Thursday Night Ladies Club 18-hole tournament was held to wind up the 2012 season. It was a beautiful day for golf, and about 30 ladies came out to play. Pat Everett won the low gross prize, shooting a stellar 83, and Phyllis Taylor shot a net 68 for the low net prize. Karen Vanetta took home the prize for having the fewest putts, with 27.

Second low gross was Karen Vanetta (86) and third was Nancy Newton (88). Second low net was Barb Buchanan (71), followed by Suzy Venuta (72), who also received a prize for having the best attendance.
