Kayden Beauregard pulled the hat trick for the Legends who jumped out to a 3-0 lead on goals from Beauregard, Tanner Franje-Gilbert and Kael Black. Black assisted on the first two goals.

“The kids are buying into the system and we are starting to see the results of hard work in practice,” said Legends’ head coach Kevin Beauregard.

Franje-Gilbert added another goal while assisting on Kayden Doughty’s marker in the second as the Legends’ lead grew to 5-1.

Beauregard completed the hat trick in the third period from Jacob Brewer, Cody Webb and Franje-Gilbert.

The Legends visit the Kelowna Kodiaks Saturday afternoon at Rutland Arena.

Legends edge Rattlers

The Village Green Hotel North Okanagan Midget A2 Legends shaded the Kamloops Rattlers 7-6 Sunday afternoon at Hassen Memorial Arena in Armstrong.

Legends’ captain Steele Pelletier had a game-high three assists, Connor Webb had two goals and one assist and assistant captain Brett Olsen had a goal and an assist.

Singles came from Mykl Drabiuk, Cameron Locke and Shelby Connors.

“Our powerplay did a great job. Our defence is getting better each game as our players learn the system,” said Legends’ coach Jim Point.

Captain Josh Boshur and Ryan Dergousoff led the Rattlers with 1+1 each.

The Rattlers visit Kelowna in league play Sunday, May 11.
