Kelowna’s Brandt Fralick, a former national class sprinter, will be hosting the first Nitro Velocity and Agility camp from Aug. 26 to 31 in Kelowna.
Each day of the camp will consist of agility and mental preparation training, followed by a later training session working on high intensity, explosiveness, speed, power, and endurance.
The goal is to better maximize the level and capacity of each athletes’ skill training with their team coaches in the future.
The camps are designed for a multitude to sports including football, basketball, soccer and combined athletics.
“Each camp is different and unique to its own sporting purpose and needs,” said Fralick.
Along with Fralick, guest coaches will include Mike Murray, Canada’s Olympic sprint coach from 1989 to 2004.
Also providing instruction will be Cal Berkley and Seattle University basketball players who will help in agility and mental preparation training at high levels of sport.
Each day will consist of two sessions, with each session being approximately two hours in duration.
The locations will interchange from a variety of different places based upon the type and style of training needed for that specific day.
The cost of the camp will be $175, payable by cash or by check made out to: Nitro Velocity Training.
The cut off for camp registration will be Aug. 25 and will be on a first come, first serve basis as numbers are limited.
