Thomas maintains lead in Agassiz Speedway Championships

 

Great weather, a great crowd and a large car count, made for an exciting night of racing at Agassiz Speedway over the weekend.

Korbin Thomas, #19, took the win for the Mertin’s 100 lap main event of the ASA OK Tire Advance Testing Late Model Series race. Ian Graham, #18, finished second and #27 Mark Berrieau took third. Thomas maintains his lead in the Championship points standings.

In the Midget class, a new track record was set by Midget driver #41 Aaron Willison;  #11 Troy Globe won the Trophy Dash, and #00 Kale Woodske won the main event.

In the Street class, #97 John Bears won the Trophy Dash. Bob Kuhn, #58, managed to hold on for the win of the 50 lap main event, just as the white flag came out, he developed engine problems, and smoked his way to the finish. Second went to #00 Rick Tourond, with #44 Keith Tourond taking third.

The next event is Aug 24, Modern Tire and Towing present the Brad Adams Memorial Hornet special.
