Extreme hoops tournament to debut in Coombs

Arrowsmith Community Rec Association hosts 3-on-3 basketball tourney for teens May 5; sign-up under way

The Arrowsmith Community Recreation Association invites area teens to sign up for its first Extreme 3-on-3 basketball tournament for youth ages 13-18.

The free tournament is being held in conjunction with National Youth Week, which is from May 1 to 7.

The tournament will be held at the Activity Building gym on the Coombs Fairgrounds on Thursday, May 5, from 6-10 p.m.

There will be two divisions. The junior level is for players aged 13 to 15 years and the seniors is open to players aged 16 to 18 years. There is no fee to enter.

Those wishing to enter can register their three-member team on the Facebook event page: Free 3 on 3 Bball Tournament.

There will be free t-shirts, prizes and pizza for all participants in the inaugural tourney.
