The Kelowna Falcons fell 9-4 in WCL action on Tuesday night in Walla Walla as the Sweets had 12 hits and took advantage of 3 Kelowna errors.

The Sweets scored three unearned runs off Kendall Motes in the four innings he worked, scoring singles in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, when the Falcons defense struggled.

Kelowna had a pair of runs in the 3rd off a Justin Flores double and Max Carter single, and went up 4-3 in the 5th after two Sweets errors allowed JJ Muno and Flores to score. Max Carter had an RBI.

Walla Walla would score three times in the bottom half of the 5th and take a 6-3 lead off of Andre Jackson on the strength of two walks and three straight hits.

The Sweets would add one in the 7th and two in the 8th to seal the deal.

The game was delayed by more than 30 minutes in the 4th when Home Plate Umpire John VanDoozer took a fastball to the forearm. The two teams had some fun during the delay, having dance offs and pulling a few different stunts.

The Falcons will play Game 2 on Wednesday night at 7:05 when they send Nat Hamby to the mound against the Sweets. Pre-Game show with Kyle Anderson will be onkelownafalcons.com starting at 6:50.
