Family Fun Day goes Jan. 1 at Bull Mountain

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas ... because that means cross-country skiing at Bull Mountain.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas … because that means cross-country skiing at Bull Mountain.

This Cariboo gem features 30 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and 3.5 kilometres of trail are lit for night skiing until 10 p.m. A Snowcat tracksetter grooms the trails for both classic and skate skiing.

The Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club is hosting a Family Fun Day at Bull Mountain on Sunday, Jan. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Skiers of all abilities are invited to try the free cross-country ski lessons. This event is being sponsored by Caribou Ski and Barking Spider Mountain Bike Shop. Caribou Ski will be providing free demo, no-wax skis, poles and boots.

Skiers who have their own gear are encouraged to use their own skis. Remember to dress in layers to avoid overheating.
