The Williams Lake Midget Female Timberwolves got in one final tuneup game March 4 in 100 Mile House versus Kamloops before the provincial championships later this month.
And despite a 1-0 loss, Timberwolves head coach Roy Call said the team took lots of positivity away from the game, which he noted they dominated for stretches.
“Final shots were 40-15 in our favour, including a final 2:30 stretch in the final period where we had six attackers on the ice,” Call said.
“The pressure resulted in several great chances and five offensive-zone faceoffs, but the Kamloops goaltender was the clear star of the game and she refused to allow the tying goal.”
The T-wolves will now have a short break before the provincials start on March 19 in Parksville.
