The Okanagan Hockey Group announced that the Okanagan Hockey Academy will be adding a Female Varsity team at its Penticton location beginning in the 2016-17 season.
The OHA Female Varsity team will play league games in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s (CSSHL) newly formed Female Varsity Division against teams from British Columbia, Alberta and Idaho, as well as exhibition and tournament games throughout the season.
The OHA Female Varsity team becomes the eighth team at the OHA Penticton location, joining the Female Prep, Midget Prep White, Midget Prep Red, Midget Varsity, Elite 15s, Bantam Prep and Bantam Varsity teams.
The coaching staff, along with more details, will be announced at a later date.
