The battle for top spot in Haney Masters’ Curling continued as four rinks produced solid performances at Golden Ears Curling Club.

Jim Maitland continued his unbeaten streak and hold of first place while Terry Gregory, Bill McDowell, and Eric Holler remained in contention registering comfortable wins or ties.   Holler’s rink of Hilly Boonstra, Kent Skene and Les Hall almost ended Maitland’s unbeaten record battling them to a 4-4 draw.

Gregory, along with Max Albrechtsen, Gary Sawatsky and Ian Strachan kept pace with Maitland defeating Jim Keenan to remain just two points back.

Not to be out-done, McDowell’s rink of Roland Hill, William Ritchie and Harold Ritchie are just three back as they curled to a 9-3 victory over the Renato Camporese foursome of Wally Phillips, Bob Wade and John McLean.
