100 Mile Figure Skating Club is planning its Sweetheart dinner and auction to take place Feb. 23 at Creekside Seniors Activity Centre.
The dinner/auction is the main fundraiser for the club and money raised will be used to help cover costs for ice rental and equipment, which club president Nanci Lundquist says keeps the program affordable for its skaters.
She notes support from local businesses has been very good and among the donated items is a log bench.
On auction night, doors open for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the actual auction gets started at 7:30 p.m., with auctioneer Donna Nivison doing her best to increase the bids.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Donex, Canlan Ice Sports, Country Pedlar and Didi’s.
