The First Nations Snowboard Team, which trains at Sun Peaks Resort, showed well at the provincial boardercross championships, held at Big White, just outside Kelowna.
Alexis Gottfreidson, from the Tk’emlups First Nation (Kamloops Indian Band), placed third in the women’s 19-and-over division.
Hayden Tomma of the Simpcw First Nation in Chu Chua, just north of Barriere, placed second in the men’s 15- to 18-year-old category.
Marissa Eustache, also of the Simpcw, placed fourth in the women’s 15- to 18-year-old division.
Desiree Janzen is the team’s head coach.
