A group of five local football players ended their high school careers with a big win earlier this month.

Bateman Timberwolves tackle/defensive end Tyson Gibson, Bateman slotback Keenan Adams-Barausse, Mouat Hawks linebacker Dion Pellerin, Hawks linebacker/defensive end/offensive guard Reuben Reardon, and Abbotsford Panthers defensive end Tajan Sanghera all participated in the Alberta-British Columbia bowl game.

The annual event went down in Chilliwack on Dec. 12, and it featured the top senior high school graduating players from British Columbia squaring off against the top graduating players from Alberta.

BC defeated Alberta 18-12, and the weekend also featured training camps, and the chance for players to showcase their skills in front of scouts from the Canadian Junior Football League and the Canadian Interuniversity Sport.
