In Grand Forks, N.D., former Penticton Vees Tyson Jost and Dante Fabbro have had terrific starts to the World Under-18 Hockey Championship.

Jost and Fabbro are one, two in team scoring after two games. Jost leads all Canadian skaters with a pair of goals and six points in wins over Denmark and the Czech Republic; Fabbro is right behind with five assists.

Jost and Fabbro made a great first impression in Canada’s 10-2 thumping of Denmark in their tournament opener Friday. Jost exploded for two goals and five points and Fabbro had three assists. A day later the pair of graduating Vees were at it again. Fabbro helped set up the first two goals in Canada’s 3-1 win over the Czechs and Jost also had a helper in the victory.

The pair had the day off Sunday before resuming round-robin action against Finland on Monday afternoon. Fans can watch every Team Canada game on TSN and TSN.ca.
