Kamloops This Week
The Fraser Valley finished atop the podium at the BC Seniors Games in Kamloops with 383 medals.
Host South Central placed third, with 280 medals, while the Lower Mainland, with 285 medals, won silver.
Rounding out the standings were Vancouver Island North (233), Vancouver Island South (191), Okanagan-Similkameen (168), North Central (116), West Kootenay Boundary (101), North West (39), Bulkley Valley-Lakes District (28), Peace River-Liard (26), East Kootenay (15) and Isolation Zone (0).
Charlie Bruce, president of the 2013 Games in Kamloops, passed the flame and flag to Milt Krueger, president of the 2014 BC Seniors Games in Langley, at the closing ceremony, held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Tournament Capital Centre.
