Park wins at Penticton Golf, while ladies invited to senior men's game and Archer and Eibner share Hidden Holes win

Park sinks par points win at Penticton Golf

Hee Won Park carded 36 to win the par points format of the Penticton Golf and Country Club ladies night on Aug.18. In second was Mary Lou Lancaster with 32 in a tie with Ann Peach and Pat Handley. Second flight winner was Susan Long at 38. Peggy Hovey carded 36, Elaine Vonck, 34 and Joan Fox  with 30.

Ladies invited to play with senior men

Their was an added elegance to the five-person scramble on Aug. 19 August as the senior men hosted the ladies. Everyone enjoyed themselves and there were some good scores. Winning with a nine-under, 61 was the team of Doreen Houston, Sharron Paulsen, Kim Goheen, Bob Elliot and Les Proudfoot.  Charging late, but falling one shot behind were Carol Perry, Dave Konarski and the Yearleys (Len with sons Gordon and George.)

“This annual event is a hit and there is much anticipation for next year,” said member Gary Wilson.

Archer and Eibner share Hidden Holes victory

Wendi Archer and Val Eibner won the Hidden Holes event at the Summerland Golf and Country Club on Aug. 18. Both carded a score of 63. Low net went to Val Fitchner with 65. Donna MacEwen was the second flight low net winner with 65, while Janis Goll won the third flight with a 64.
