The Fulton Maroons remained undefeated in North Zone Senior AA Girls Volleyball League play after a 3-0 sweep of the host Seaton Sonics Tuesday night.
Nazarena Wurz delivered eight kills, and Aryana Jacura and Megan Rouault adding three apiece in helping Fulton earn set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-10.
Brittany Skrenek and Wurz each contributed three aces, and Ashley Eso went on a six-serve run to pull the Maroons out front. Setters Nicole Olson and Erin Sakamoto performed well in controlling the Maroon’s attack.
Sharon Shaigec’s Maroons are entered in the Westsyde Round Robyn Tournament this weekend in Kamloops. They then host North Zone championships – featuring the Kalamalka Lakers, Revelstoke Rams and Pleasant Valley Sinners – starting at 4 p.m., Tuesday.
The top three teams advance to AA Valleys, Nov. 14-15 (host to be determined). Brentwood College is hosting AA provincials, Nov. 27-29, in Mill Bay.
