Tuesday night, May 12, was fashion night at Chinook Cove as the ladies were treated to a display of the newest clothing for sale at the golf course.
The colours and styles were wonderful and many of the ladies went home with something new to wear next week.
Tuesday night the weather was gorgeous and 40 ladies took to the links.
Most of us stayed for dinner and the prize presentation. The ladies take turns bringing dessert and this week we thank Barb Smith and Darlene Nickull.
Flight one winners sponsored by Hub International were Carol Hindle (low gross with a score of 43) and Deb Legaree (low net with a score of 48).
Flight two was sponsored by Ron Wallace Trucking and the winners were Jeannie Webber (low gross with a score of 51) and Betty Baillie (low net with a score of 53).
Flight Three was sponsored by Stamer Logging with first place going to Marie Hakes with a score of 52 and second place to Wanda Amos with a score of 53.
Carol Hindle and Deb Legaree shared the birdie pot while the deuce pot was carried over to next week.
Carol Hindle had a KP in Three (AG Foods) and a long drive (Barriere Timber Mart). Bernice Randrup had a long drive (Armour Mountain Office Serv) and a KP (Carl’s Market Garden). Irene Beeton had a long drive (Barriere A&W) and a KP (Campbell & Company). Trudy Forsythe had a KP (EBL Ventures), a long putt (Rainer Custom Cutting), and a long drive (Sam’s Pizza). Single prize winners were Sandy LeBourdais (long putt – Barriere Massage), Val Alyward (long putt – Crystlee’s Hair Design), Fiona Clare (long putt – Country Store Antiques), Deb Legaree (KP – Bondar Forest Planning), Babes Shanko (long putt – Estylo Hair Design), Vreny Kempter (long putt – Knights Inn), Audrey Deveau (KP in two – Pottery by Ramona), Betty Baillie (long drive – Station House), Betty Baillie (long drive – Station House Restaurant), Marnie Pfeifer (long drive – Val Bella Studio), Sue Paulhus (most putts – Interior Savings Credit Union) and Jeannie Webber (least putts – Interior Savings Credit Union).
Next week is one of my favourites – four club night. It makes choosing which club to use so much simpler.
I took in a golfing clinic facilitated by Susan Mitchell on Wednesday and I am looking forward to trying out some of the new tips.
