Game over for Chiefs

Surrey wins best-of-seven series 4-2

It is game over for the Langley Chiefs.

The junior A hockey club was eliminated from the BCHL playoffs on Monday night at the Langley Events Centre following a 4-2 loss in game six to the Surrey Eagles.

Langley had a great start to the game, leading 2-0 off goals from Kit Sitterley and Brandon Thompson.

But Josh Monk and Tyler Morley tied the score before the first interemission, and Morely and Robert Lindores added second-period goals for the Eagles.

Surrey won all three games at the Langley Events Centre.

The Chiefs had forced a game six after a five-point night from Matt Ius (two goals, three assists) on Sunday at the South Surrey Arena.

Surrey advances to the Coastal Conference championship series.
