The White House Mortgage Gators closed the Vernon Competitive Women’s Slo-Pitch League regular season with a win and a tie Wednesday night at Kin Park.
Melissa Locke and Tiffany Disher led the Gators offensively, combining for six hits and three ribbies in a 9-7 win over the Ice Cold Pitches.
Iva Wiens was 2-for-3 with a RBI in support of Elli Lane.
The Gators tied the Competition Exteriors Dynamite 4-4 in the nightcap with Alicia Carter going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Nancy Lafreniere also supplied three hits in four at bats with Sarah McDonnell going the distance on the mound.
The Nitros left the bases loaded in the bottom of seven. Linda Castonguay smacked a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the game, finishing 2-for-3.
Ashley Charleton went 3-for-4 to help the Nitros, while Debi Drake dialed two hits and Shelly Ouellette returned from IR and went 1-for-1.
Delaney Properties Ltd. Tenacity grounded the Dynamite 11-5 with Lynn Gregoire turning in an outstanding defensive showing and going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles to spark Tenacity.
Melyssa Edwards also went 4-for-5, driving in three runs with a double and a triple for Tenacity.
Castonguay and Carly Foster both went 3-for-3 for the Nitros, while Jessica Sinclair supplied two hits and two RBI, Tori Reid posted two hits and one ribbie and Drake had two hits.
Edwards went 4-for-5 with a triple as Tenacity brushed back the Ice Cold Pitches 15-10. Amanda Caldow was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
