With the weather getting warmer each day, the thought of spending time inside a cool place would not be a bad idea.

The Quality Foods Oceanside Generals are set to hold their main camp from August 16 to 19 at Oceanside Place.

In preparation for the camp, the ice is back in at the Howie Meeker Arena.

This year, the Generals have added two green and yellow ribbons in honour of the 16 Humboldt Broncos players who were killed in a highway crash on their way to a playoff game last April. There was also 13 players who suffered injuries.

Meanwhile the Generals have been busy recruiting new players for the coming season.

They’ve received the commitment of defenceman Tanner Hamilton of Langley.

Hamilton has been on the Generals’ radar and is expected to be at the main camp next month. He played 29 games with the Delta Hockey Academy Midget Varsity Team, posting 14 points, that include two goals and 14 assists.
