Giant of a team proves themselves

Barrriere, baseball

A lot of parents said thank you to Phil Ransome Sr. and Phil Ransome Jr. for putting together a Mites team and taking the kids to Surrey, B.C., the weekend of June 25, for a fun-filled weekend of baseball and skill competition. The team proved to be very competitive; taking a first place in longest hit, second place in bunting, and third place in skill competition points. The team played five hard games throughout the entire weekend. Parents told the team, “You made us parents very proud, and thanks again Phil and Phil!” (Pictured above) The Barriere Giants; back row (l to r) Tyson Schilling, Bryce Welz, Matlock Brown, Brayden Defelice, and Aaron Van Sickle. Front row; Rayden Veitch, Mackenzie Ransome, Cameron Kerslake, and Carson Michelson. Coach in the photo is Phil Ransome Sr.; missing from the picture is Phil Ransome Jr.
