The Vancouver Giants continue shaping their roster for the upcoming season, acquiring Brad Morrison from the Prince George Cougars.
The Cougars will receive a conditional second round pick in the 2018 Western Hockey League bantam draft.
The 1997-born forward could fill one of the three over-age spots on the Giants roster in 2017/18.
“Brad is a highly skilled forward who will provide an added dimension to our offence and power play,” said general manager Glen Hanlon.
Morrison had 21 goals and 31 assists in 2016/17, his third consecutive 20-goal and 50-point season.
His numbers last year would have ranked him tied for first in assists and second in both goals and points.
The six-foot, 170-pound centreman — who is from Prince George — has 85 goals and 103 assists in 260 career WHL games and was a first round (seventh overall) pick of the Cougars in the 2012 bantam draft.
He was also a fourth round draft pick of the New York Rangers in the 2015 NHL Draft.
