Gigliuk tops Spallumcheen tourney

Neva Gigliuk carded an 83 Wednesday to win the Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club ladies first closed tournament.

Neva Gigliuk carded an 83 Wednesday to win the Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club ladies first closed tournament.

Sigi Bentham was runner-up with an 86, followed by Nancy Laframboise, at 90, and Cindy Hoffman with an 98.

Marion O’Flynn took the overall low net award with a 65.

Closest-to-the-pin winners by flight were Hiroko Marr, Kay Cornish, Edna Little and Ann McKoryk. Long drives were recorded by Ginger Jalonen, Diane Oakden, Edel Venus and Joice Todd.

Deuces were wild for Shirley Hume, Little and O’Flynn. The rest of the results are as follows:
