Glacier Greens ladies finally underway

Par for the Course: A round-up of action from Comox Valley golf courses

Third time was lucky on April 16 for the Glacier Greens Tuesday Ladies Club to kick off their golf season. Mother Nature blessed us with blue skies, totally unlike the two weeks prior when the decision was made not to battle the elements.

Nineteen fair-weather golfers headed for the tees and putted on freshly punched and sanded greens, playing the front nine twice. Final scores were determined by choosing the best score for each hole for a nine-hole score.

Prizes were awarded to Ellie Nicholas first low gross and Judy Brown second low gross. On the net side Marie Israel came first with Kelly Gibb claiming second. For most of us, the golfing wasn’t so great, but for all of us it was fun, and it was also great to reconnect with those that we haven’t seen since fall.

Just a reminder that the Spring Fling is scheduled for May 7, followed by the general meeting. Entry is $10 and is open to all Glacier Greens lady members.
