But on a hot Canada Day weekend and after two hours of elimination contest, Kealan Cangiano earned the title as top goalie in the annual goalie battles competition during the Central Okanagan Youth Soccer Association’s Canada Day tournament.
The popular contest to emerge from the goalie wars, included cannon shots, as well as a one-on-one goalie war,
saw Cangiano emerge as the winner in the overall goalie wars competition in the Under-15 category. He also claimed the silver medal in the combined U-15, U-16 goalie wars competition.
