Golden return for Prince Rupert’s gymnastics club

After two decades without a gymnastics club, Prince Rupert's team wins gold medals in Terrace

After more than 20 years without a gymnastics club, Prince Rupert has a program it can be proud of once again.

The Prince Rupert Gymnastics Association returned to competition in Terrace on March 3, competing in the Terrace Peaks Invitational Tournament against competition from Terrace, Kitimat and Smithers.

Prince Rupert’s club was successful against their more established competition, winning overall team gold medals in the Junior Olympic Levels One, Two and Three as well as numerous individual medals by athletes who were participating in their first meet.

The competition continues when the Rupert gymnasts travel to Kitimat on April 21.
