It was a tough start on the road for the Golden Rockets as they faced off against the Castlegar Rebels in the third round of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoffs.
Both teams started the game on the conservative side, with only 10 shots being registered in the first period. One of those shots did manage to find the back of the net as Rebels player Kody Disher scored midway through the period on a power play.
Things picked up in the shot department in the second period but neither team could score.
Disher got his second goal of the night a little less than three minutes into the third period.
The Rebels would score two more before the end of the game to make the final score 4-0.
Game two will be played in Castlegar on March 16.
