The club has scheduled its annual tournament and fund-raising dance for the weekend of Nov. 25-27.

Races rained out

Weekend rains left a slick track that forced cancellation of the scheduled stock car racing event at Tri-Port Speedway, but the Tri-Port Motor Sports Club plans to make up the event before handing out its season championship trophy in three weeks.

The club will host its next regular event, originally scheduled as the season finale, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2. The racers will return for the rain make-up event and new finale at the same time on Sunday, Oct. 9.
