Golfers hit course following successful 108 Ladies Club Championships

Thirty golfers hit the 108 Golf Resort on Aug. 27 for 108 Ladies Day

Thirty golfers hit the 108 Golf Resort on Aug. 27 for 108 Ladies Day, the first following the 108 Ladies Club Championships, which took place Aug. 24-25.

The nine-hole round saw the golfers split into three flights.

Low-gross scorer on the first flight was Billie Scott, followed by Annie McKave and Cathy Waite. Low-net score went to Judy Scarrow, followed by Patsy Wilkinson and Char Wahnschaff.

The second flight saw Gloria Corno score the lowest gross, with Leslie Bell second and Shelley Larson third. Second flight low-net was recorded by Shirley Boyson, with Ann Pinkney second, followed by Maureen Menzies.

Angela Batalha shot lowest gross in the third flight. Lynn Smeds was second and Sharlene Anderson was third. Lowest net in the third flight went to Wendy Foster, with Marion Lines second and Millie Halcro third.

Long drives were hit Matsuda (first flight), Pinkney (second flight) and Batalha (third flight). The birdie pot went to Bell.

New or beginning golfers are welcome to join the group for 108 Ladies Day, which goes Tuesdays at the 108 Golf Resort.
