On a beautiful September evening, ladies from all over the Comox Valley golfed in the Crown Isle Nine and Wine finale and raised close to $2,500 for breast cancer research.

Not only did everyone enjoy an evening of golf, dinner, dessert, pink martinis, prizes and tons of laughs, but they also gave generously for all the silent auction prizes.

It is so appropriate that the winners of the coveted pink flasks would be Lori Carpenter, and Katy Doran, who have been faithful supporters of every Nine and Wine this year, and Peggy Streit and Suzanne Wood.

Without the support of our many businesses in the Valley, this event would not be so successful.  Our community is truly blessed and we would like to thank all of our sponsors: Rice Toyota, Assante Capital Management, Rattan Plus Home and Patio, Pharmasave, Signature Oil and Vinegar, Suzanne and Jenny’s, 40 Knots Winery, Wayward Distillation House,  Melissa Berrigan from Royal LePage, Ana Fleck from Invis Mortgages, Mackenzie Gartside and Associates, Graham’s Jewellers, KIA, Daryl Robbins Accountant, Crown Isle, Portuguese Joe’s, Epicure-Maria Buckley, Coastal Community Credit Union, The Naked Squirrel Jewelry, Atlas Cafe, V.I. Keep an eye on the Crown Isle website and newspaper for the date of the first Nine and Wine in May 2017.
