Elia Ganderski’s line makes a graceful arc as he fly-fishes for trout in the Clearwater River last Tuesday afternoon. The trout were hiding out among the spawning sockeye, waiting to eat any fish eggs that passed by. A former Forest Service employee who now works as a fishing guide, Ganderski took advantage of a day off work to take a busman’s holiday - and go fishing.
