Approximately 150 cyclists will be rambling through town on Friday, June 1 and coursing 120 km through the North Fork Valley.
Dr. Robb Sebastian will be hosting this event, which takes place annually, and will draw about 130 cyclists from all over the province, who will be staying in town on Thursday and Friday night.
There will be around 20 cyclists from the Grand Forks Cycling Club to complete the 150 riders. The cyclists leave town on Saturday, but return from Osoyoos on Sunday.
The total distance is around 360 km for the three days of the ride. Motorists may encounter long lines of bicycles, so please share the road once again, as you have been doing this spring. Thank you.
The Grand Forks Cycling Club will be hosting a training session on Saturday, June 9 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. starting at Chain Reaction Ride & Slide.
The session is open to teens and adults who want to learn to ride safely in groups, and in a “pace line.”
The session is free, but please register with Bob at 250-442-3071. Participants need a helmet and a bicycle as this is on the road training.
