Four more victories pushed the Langley Blaze winning streak to five games.

The Blaze held the Coquitlam Reds to a pair of runs, winning 6-1 and 8-1 in a doubleheader on Saturday at Mundy Park.

And Langley followed that up with 11-2 and 10-4 victories over the White Rock Tritons on Sunday at South Surrey Athletic Park to improve the Blaze to 21-10 and just three games back of top spot in the B.C. Premier Baseball League.

Nick Iverson threw a complete-game five-hitter with seven strikeouts in the first win on Saturday while Austin Hardie drive in a pair of runs.

Aiden Mordecai struck out six in the back-end of the doubleheader, going six solid innings with just one run allowed. The offence was led by three RBIs from Dawson Gray and a two-run home run off the bat of Jesse Unger.

Stats were unavailable for Langley’s 11-2 win over White Rock, but the second contest saw Markus Gregson allow one run over six innings for the 10-4 win.

Gray had another big game, coming through with a three-run home run.

Langley is back in action on July 5 as they play a doubleheader in Victoria against the Eagles.
