Greenville Timberwolves, Gitmidiik Storm compete in Junior All-Native Basketball tournament

Games are being held across Vancouver

The U17 Girls Greenville Timberwolves and the U17 Gitmidiik Storm competed on Tuesday in the 2018 Junior All-Native Basketball Tournament in Vancouver.

The Timberwolves played against the Maaqtusiis Thunder at Britannia Secondary School, while the Storm faced the North Shore Wolves at Carson Graham Secondary.

Gitmidiik beat North Shore 76-52 and are set to play the Snuneymuxw Native Sons Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at Sutherland Secondary School.

The tournament includes 83 teams from B.C. First Nation communities across four divisions, U17 Boys, U17 Girls, U13 Boys and U13 Girls.

Terrace Standard
