Six Surrey schools will take to the field in the second round of the Fraser Valley Senior AAA girls high school soccer championships this afternoon (Thursday).
Two teams will be looking for a second victory, while four others are hoping to avoid elimination.
The Queen Elizabeth Royals fell 3-1 to the Heritage Woods Kodiaks in a first-round game Tuesday. Happy Dhillon scored for the Royals, who will host the 15-seed Delta Pacers.
The North Surrey Spartans and Enver Creek Cougars also lost Tuesday, and will play today at Enver Creek Secondary in an elimination game.
The Fleetwood Park Dragons lived up to their ranking as the top-seed, defeating the W.J. Mouat Hawks 4-0. They host the Panorama Ridge Thunder in a quarterfinal game today (Thursday). The Thunder stopped the Clayton Heights Nightriders 3-1 Tuesday afternoon.
Clayto Heights, the ninth-seed, will host W.J. Mouat later today.
